Downhill lies and How to Handle Them

A good friend of mine and PGA Pro, Kyla Inaba explains and shows how to make pure contact while standing on a downhill lie. The biggest mistake golfers make? “Fighting” the slope, rather than rolling with it. This drill includes three easy steps to get yourself properly set up on the downslope, so that you can execute the perfect swing.

Remember:

  • The slope with de-loft the club
  • Keep your shoulders parallel to the slope
  • Gravity will remain on your front foot
  • Swing down the slope

So find a downhill slope, get a bucket of balls and have it, you’ll be glad you did!
